Pressure Canning 101

Don’t let tales of kitchen explosions or botulism scare you away from pressure canning! We’ll cover procedures, safety, equipment options and reliable resources, all while working through the process together. Class taught via Zoom.

You are welcome to simply watch, ask questions, and take notes – or, if you own a pressure canner, you can follow along with the instructor to complete the steps in your own home kitchen, while we discuss as a group. (Supply and task lists, along with class handouts, will be sent to students after registering, for those who prefer the hands-on approach.)

This class is being offered in coordination with Mt Hood Community College and registration must be completed on their website.

Must have a computer with camera and microphone, smart phone or tablet to take this class. Zoom instructions will be included in your registration confirmation email. Instructor will email your Zoom class meeting link within 24 hours of the start of your first class session.
